Happy Birthday Alan

Yesterday we celebrated Alan's 35th birthday! The children were thrilled to sing Happy Birthday to their daddy all day long, in the morning before he left for work, in the car on the way to Mel's house, in the car on the way home from Mel's house, and when Daddy got home from work too! Little did Alan know that the IrishKids were celebrating with or without him!

Personally, I think they were just really excited to help him open his birthday presents. The process of tearing the wrapping paper is quite thrilling to the children. They really weren't all that interested in what the actual gift. Fortunately, I was able to find his gifts before his special day came to an end.
Most of his gifts were bought in Ireland in December and sent home with us in January. I thought I was doing so good, until I couldn't find the darned things! But as you can see, the gifts were located and everyone was happy, especially Kit and Fionn.
Thanks for all the beautiful gifts and bithday wishes from family and friends. I know that Alan truly appreciated them. Here's to a fun filled 35th year!

I don't know what it is about the song Happy Birthday but it is a favorite among our kiddos too. Hollie and Kennedy serenaded a table of ladies at a local eatery. They got a round of applause from the whole place.
Happy Birthday Alan, Kevin celebrates 35 this year too!

Oh yeah...Happy Belated Birthday Alan. Holy s#*t are you really 35? Check...I think you are wrong! Cause that would make me..## and that is not right! Hope you had a good one! Kids look great. And as every parent knows with young kids you never really get to open your own gifts. but lets face it they only care about the paper we care about whats inside.
